Library Resources

The mission of the BCCS Library is to support the purpose and goals of the school by acting as the primary provider of relevant educational resources in print and electronically to all students and faculty of BCCS. The major operational objective of the library is the acquisition and organization of information in various forms that support the overall curriculum and mission of BCCS.

All students are provided with digital access to scholarly databases. The school library will provide students with these details at orientation.

BCCS also offers an on-campus library with over 2,000 resources!

On-Campus Library Hours

Mon-Sun, 7:30 am – 10:00 pm.

The library is closed during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s weeks. See the academic calendar for dates.

If a student would like a particular book mailed to them from the on-site library, then they may submit a request by calling the school at 855-702-7434.

Logos Bible Software

Every student receives a license to the Logos Remote Theological Study Library. This is a resource filled with Biblical commentaries, Greek/Hebrew texts, Bible translations, journal articles, ancient texts, and more!

If a student needs a license, then he or she should contact the school at drfreeman@bcc.edu. Only current students have access to this resource. Students may also click the following link for training on how to use the Logos resource:

ProQuest Research Databases

Current students have access to two ProQuest databases.

The ProQuest Social Studies database, is an online library database with 25,900 accredited ebooks on topics such as history, social studies, philosophy, psychology, counseling, etc.

The ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database contains thousands of published dissertations and theses in the area of humanities, theology, biblical studies, and counseling.

Access Instructions

ProQuest Social Studies Database: If a student does not yet have a license, then he or she should click “Request Account” on the home page.

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Database: For this database, the institution will provide you with a password. The password is also found in your orientation modules.

ATLA Religion Database

Current students also have access to the Atla Religion Database with AtlaSerials PLUS database through EBSCO. This resource provides access to more than 3.4 million records, including 2,500+ journal titles in total, 1,200+ of which are currently being indexed, 1.2 million+ journal article records, 287,000+ essay records, 1.1 million+ review records, and 470,000+ book records.     • This is an online journal focused on Pentecostal and Charismatic movements around the world.
    • This journal contains articles on various theological subjects.
    • This is a journal in English for those who are interested in Pentecostal studies in the context of Asia. The journal is produced by Asia Pacific Theological Seminary.
    • This website has some quality academic blogs and articles on the subject of biblical studies. You can also access Bible maps on this website.
    • This website provides online articles on Biblical backgrounds by one of the leading New Testament scholars in the world, Dr. Craig Keener.
    • This is a good Bible software where you can read multiple Bible translations, read the Bible in the original languages, and get access to some of the older commentaries.
    • This journal provides articles related Pentecostal-Charismatic Christianity within the context of Canada.
    • This site contains articles from some of the most well-known Pentecostal scholars. Articles contain research related to the study of Pentecostal-Charsimatic theology.
    • This is the academic journal for Denver Seminary.
      • It includes articles on philosophy, the New Testament, Old Testament, practical theology, and systematic theology.
    • This journal focuses on historical theological topics (Luther, Calvin, etc.).
    • This is a good resource for searching for academic works. In some cases, the entire book is available online.
    • Commentaries published by InterVarsity Press. The commentaries are available through Bible Gateway.
  • Journal of Biblical Pentecostalism
    • This is the academic journal of Â鶹tv´óƬ. All of the contributors to the journal are faculty members of BCC.
    • Topics range from Biblical Theology to Pentecostal Ministry.
    • This is one of the premier, Evangelical journals in biblical studies. Studies range from Old Testament to New Testament theology.
    • This journal contains articles related to the study of the first – seventh century A.D. context of Jesus and Christians.
    • This is the journal of McMaster Divinity College. This journal contains articles related to theological and practical ministry studies.
    • This website provides access to a collection of theological journals published by Princeton Theological Seminary. The journals date from 1825 to present.
    • This journal contains academic reviews of current books.
    • Reviews are written from a Pentecostal perspective and are completed on books that relate to Pentecostalism.

    • This resource is provided by Fordham University. It provides links and articles to information regarding history both ancient and western.
    • A library of some ancient Greek classical works.
    • This is a library of over 60,000 free ebooks. The books range from secular topics to biblical ones.
    • This journal is open-access and provides articles related to psychology and behavioral sciences.
    • Some of the views expressed in this journal are not necessarily expressed by the school.
    • This is an online digital library of ancient Greek literature.
    • One may find Greek texts of Josephus or Philo at this website.
    • This resource is a tool for studying the historical timeline. Researchers can browse the names of persons and places, and see their significance in the historical timeline.
